Migu digital media Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Migu Digital Media), established on December 18, 2014,
is affiliated to MIGU Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Mobile Communications Corporation. mainly
engaged in all-media publication, artificial intelligence and e-newspaper business. Its predecessor, China
mobile reading base, started construction in early 2009 as a department of China mobile Zhejiang company, and
officially launched mobile reading business in May 2010. In 2011,China mobile reading base and the former
general administration of press and publication signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation, realizing further
docking with the national policy platform. In December 2013,China mobile published owned-brand “And” while China
reading base changed its brand name into "And reading".?
In April 2015,China mobile reading base officially changed into migu digital media Co., Ltd. In October 2015, "And reading" was changed into “Migu Reading”. In 2016, adhering to the company mission，that is, to be the innovator of media publishing, the practitioner of national reading, the disseminator of new knowledge, Migu digital media established a product system including Migu reading, Migu Lingxi, E-newspaper as the core. By the end of 2017, Migu digital media had created an industry value of 5.1 billion yuan while its Migu reading business platform has gathered more than half a million volumes of copyrighted books, with nearly 100 million Monthly All-Scene Active Users. More than 1,000 events have been held in more than 200 cities throughout the country to fully serve the development of national reading for the whole people, thus promoting China digital reading industry into a new era.
On April 21, 2015, the eve of world book day 4.23, The first Chinese digital reading conference officially opened in Hangzhou. The theme of the conference is “integration, innovation and dream”. It is the first high-level event in the field of digital reading in China. The conference has received strong support from the competent departments and elites of digital publishing, cultural industry and internet-related enterprises all over the country. A total of 700 industry leaders attended the conference including representatives of press, publication, radio, film and television departments, more than 30 mobile provincial companies.

It is reported that, China Mobile Migu Digital Media officially launched its operations the day before the conference. This conference is the first achievement after the transformation of migu digital media company. On 13 April 2016, the second China digital reading conference officially opened in Hangzhou. The theme of the conference is "innovation, sharing and green". With the background of Internet + and Mass entrepreneurship, this high-level event in the field of digital reading brought numerous innovations. The conference released the 2015 white paper on China's digital reading industry. At the same time, the conference selected and announced four annual awards for China's digital reading field, established the youth green digital reading alliance, released the digital reading enterprise strategic cooperation project, and started 2016 reading year. Nearly 900 elites from digital publishing, cultural industries and internet-related enterprises have participated in the event.
The digital reading field shows a huge potential from the depth of the industrial transformation and development, cross-border cooperation and other aspects. On April 14, 2017, the third China digital reading conference officially opened in Hangzhou. Following the characteristics of the two previous conferences, this event becomes the annual wind vane of the national industry.
